Area Congregations Together in Service is a Greater Richmond interfaith mission providing support and resources during periods of financial crisis to prevent homelessness.
ACTS' Values
Greater Richmond’s low-income individuals and families should live securely in knowing that a financial crisis will not cost them their home.
Early intervention is all that separates many low-income individuals and families from homelessness.
Preventing homelessness is a more effective and compassionate solution than withholding assistance until homelessness has occurred.
Working in partnership with local agencies, faith-based organizations, and community groups to pool resources creates the most effective system for reducing homelessness.
A venue for education and networking will strengthen working relationships among faith based and other community organizations that provide prevention services.
